Close & Open!

A recent piece, "Avenue Aglow" 24x18"

Goodbye retail. Hello contemplative studio.

With heavy hearts, we recently closed Brushstrokes Studio-Gallery--the retail version of our artist-owned gallery. My partners John K. Harrell, Kit Hevron Mahoney, and Anita Mosher, founded the nationally noted venue 16 years ago. I've been with them for seven fabulous years. On the heels of Kit's decision to retire, along with rising retail costs and ever-evolving shifts in art marketing, we made the tough decision to close the storefront gallery.

John and I are now happily ensconced in a large new studio and showroom in Denver's remarkable Prism Workspaces. This converted warehouse complex is the artistic home of more than 50 artists and creative businesses. The creative energy in the place is palpable. The artistic enclave is frequented by art lovers, designers, and art consultants.

On a personal level it's an utter luxury to spread out; John and I are sharing 1000 square feet with soaring ceilings. My intention is for my work to also soar in this new, non-retail setting.

We're keeping Brushstrokes Studio alive at this location, and through our shared website. We'd be delighted to see you; Prism is open most days and we're usually here painting. (It's a good idea to call or email first, just in case.) THANK YOU to all who've supported us during our retail years!
