"Art saved my life."

Ndume Olatushani explains how he endured 28 years of wrongful imprisonment--including 20 on death row--for a murder he did not commit in a state he had never visited.

Now a Denver working father, husband, anti-death penalty advocate, and emerging artist, Ndume is on the cusp of realizing his long-shelved dream of having an art studio to focus on his promising, provacative, narrative painting series depicting lynchings in America.

We've secured a small studio for Ndume to resume his important art pursuits--with the lynching series already garnering interest from several academic institutions. He signed the studio lease today and is beyond thrilled to return to the easel. This rent sum does pose a financial strain on his family, hence my offer to help garner community support. If you're in a position to help, I invite you consider contributing to the fund for his first year of rent--$380 monthly, totaling $4560. We would also be delighted to garner social media support! (I'll be launching this on IG @kellybergerart on 11/30.)

I've attached the GoFundMe link here, which provides further background on Ndume's incredible story and a link to his website.

Hi all! Thanks for the interest in tomorrow's Open Studio & Sale event!

As promised, I am offering a large collection of mostly earlier work at 25-40 percent below retail pricing. I'll eventually establish a new "sale" page on my website, but in the interest of time, I'm attaching some images from art hung in the studio for the event tomorrow. Most of the pieces are included in the sale, and there are MANY more not photographed here. If there's a specific painting, genre and/or size that is of interest, please email me for pricing and availability from ANY OF MY INVENTORY ON THE WEBSITE. I'll let you know what art is included and send you more images of specific piece(s).
